Spreading Seasons
A series of paintings visualize the psychological fallout of four seasons of isolation and fear. In 2020, the emergence of Covid 19 coincided with the annual "spreading season,"
a time in early winter when farmers spread feces and digested plant waste across their fields to fertilize the next generation of crops. It is a dangerous and necessary task that
dates back thousands of years, and it is a reminder of the origins and ends of all that is beautiful and abundant in nature.
